The Magic Wand - By Gabrielle

A long, long time ago there were some minions ordering fries and burgers for them and their boss at McDonald's. They ordered three large double cheese burgers, three large double chicken burgers and six large fries.

But there was a problem. Mrs Daniel had forgotten the password for the safe. So the minion’s ran out to find things to brake the safe open. Minion one finds a big branch. So minion one, minion four and minion five rammed it at the safe. They got hurt so they sat down and it didn’t open. Minion two finds a bomb, he lit it and put it in front of the safe. He didn’t run away and it exploded. He got hurt so he sat down, but it didn’t open. Minion three finds a car and he hot wired it nd rammed it into the safe. It didn’t open and he got hurt so he sat down.

Mrs Daniel gets worried that she won’t be able to open the safe. Then Mrs Daniel finds a wand up in a tree. Minion three climbed up the tree and grabbed the wand. She said “abra cadabra, open the safe.” It opens. Now everyone can eat their fries and burgers.

Memories by Kade

A few weeks ago on Thursday with Mrs Daniel we went on this website called Pobble 365. It has images and prompts that help us write about the picture. I chose an image called Memories. It’s a picture of a man in an army uniform and he looks quite old. He survived a war but none of his friends did. On Anzac Day he wears his army uniform. I hope you enjoy it!
Memories

George had not worn his uniform for many years. Now that he finally did, the memories all came flooding back to him like an avalanche. Like of his best friends passing away from diseases, gunfire and them not ducking. Many tears went down his face, as he remembered his last four friends charging, because they were commanded to.

Poem by Kade

On Monday the 12th of September Room 3 did poems that are like A, A, B, B. Which the rhyme was with the 2 A’s and the two B’s. So then we made it like  A, B, A, B. Where the rhyme is with the two A’s and the two B’s. I hope you enjoy it!

Cricket

I bowled a ball at the wickets.
Some people were cheering,
As some other people were buying tickets,
He was having a rage and sneering.

As I batted,
I hit the ball weirdly,
Some people chatted,
As my team wins yearly.

The next year arrived,
As we versed the same team,
We all dived,
As some people started to scream.

I caught the ball,
My team rarely does not win,
But this time there was a strange call,
As the ball leaves my skin.

Kade's speech

This is my speech called What Do Teachers Do Off Duty? I hope you enjoy it!

What Do Teachers Do Off Duty?

Hello and welcome to this speech with the awesome, handsome and strong Kade. Guessing what that marvelous person is? It’s me. Today we are going to be talking about what teacher's do off duty, what do they do in the staff room, and after school? I have been wondering that since the day I walked in a classroom for my first day of school. I knew they have been hiding lots of things.

Are teachers trying to make other teachers laugh in the staff room because they think they are funny? Sometimes it might make teacher’s extremely angry that they will grow enormously gigantic and then there skin turns green in just 15 seconds, that's probably how hulk was invented.

Teachers might be extremely weird instead of funny like Mr Mac watching netball in the staffroom even though Liverpool (which is Mr Mac’s favourite soccer team) is playing a match on the other channel. Then Miss Coffer comes in and says “put it on the football”. Imagine if that happened. That would be an extremely weird opposite day.

What if teachers were secretly superstars in disguise like Mr Mac was Usain Bolt, yes Usain Bolt the fastest sprinter in the world. If he is “sick” on the exact time the Olympics are on then you have got an answer. Miss J to be Taylor Swift that's probably why Taylor Swift/Miss J has not been singing songs recently. Wondering why Miss J leaves the room when Mrs Daniel is in the room? It’s probably because Taylor Swift and Katy Perry don’t get along so you have found the real Katy Perry in disguise.

Do you think aliens exist? Well I think they exist but those aliens are in disguise in the Milky Way, Earth, New Zealand, Auckland, Pakuranga, Sunnyhills, The Crest, Sunnyhills Primary School, rooms 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7 have all got 1 alien each in these classrooms. There disguise names are Mrs Knoflock, Miss J, Miss Holiday, Miss Coffer and Mr Mac. Are they trying to turn humans into aliens for a war! Or are they actually insane teachers that are trying to blow up earth and end up living on another planet like the Moon, Mars, Neptune or even the sun!

So Teachers will go on "holiday” to Russia. As soon as they get to Russia, guess where they will go to. A Russian gun shop! Then just a couple of bang-bangs (as in around 7.4 billion bang-bangs can take over earth).

What do you think teachers are doing off duty, after school or in the staff room? I think one of these paragraphs is true about teachers doing something suspicious, I hope you were more than entertained in the last 3 minutes, bye.

Narrative poem by Logan

Narrative poem

One night the Shell children were hungry,
They needed some sweet leaves to eat.
They decided to go to the jungle
And look for a pancake tree treat.

So of the wandered that evening,
In search of a wonderful snack.
But the earthquake bird suddenly landed
And they heard a pancake tree crack.

The Shell children stood there astonished,
That was one less treat to eat.
They yelled to the Earthquake bird
Why did you do that , now we have to eat wheat.

The Shell children went home,
And said to their mum an Earthquake bird broke their treat.
They sat at the the table and there mum brought out some wheat
And there mum opened the bag and it was a
pancake tree treat.

Shell children poem by Kade

On Monday 10th of October room 3 started doing a narrative poem about Shell children. We were given a start and then we had to write the rest like a narrative, rhyming lines 2 and 4.. I hope you enjoy this poem.

The Shell Children

One night the shell children were hungry,
They needed some sweet leaves to eat.
They decided to go to the jungle,
And look for a pancake tree teat.

So off they wandered that evening,
In search for a wonderful snack.
But the earthquake bird suddenly landed
And they heard a pancake tree crack.

They ran and grabbed a pancake,
Then they sprinted away like mad.
The ground was shaking as the shell children ran home,
When they got there they got told off by their dad.

Next time they go to the forest,
The shell children have to ask their dad.
Their dad was relieved when he saw the earthquake bird leave,
When their dad saw the pancake he was glad.

Shell Children Poem from Shreyas

One night  the Shell Children were hungry,
They needed some sweet leaves to eat.
They decided to go to the jungle
And look for a pancake tree treat.

So , off they wandered that evening
In search of a wonderful snack.
But the earthquake bird suddenly landed,
And they heard a pancake tree crack!

Then the Shell Children got frightened
And started to run home.
They walked for a long hour ,
They heard the bird screeching, there was no time to roam.

Luckily they outran it;
They had run very fast
They reached home safely
And could relax at last.

Poem By Lewis

One night the Shell Children were hungry,
They needed some sweet leaves to eat.
They decided to go to the jungle
And look for a pancake tree treat.

So off they wandered that evening,
In search of a wonderful snack.
But the earthquake bird suddenly landed
And they heard a pancake tree crack!

There was a coarse commotion,
And a horrible hullabaloo.
The Shell Children were running
The earthquake bird went Ah - Achoo!

The Shell Children ran home,
They certainly learnt a lesson.
Next time they won't go out to the jungle
Or else the'll be in heaven.

Chime's Poem By Victoria

Chime's Poem

When I was a child, all little and new,
They gave me a shell to protect me.
In there I felt safe as I gradually grew,
And learnt of the world all around me.

I learnt that

There is a village of leaf people
In the middle of the woods
They have a little temple
Where they store all of their goods

It rains milk chocolate chips
That taste nice and sweet
We always lick our lips
Because the chocolate chips are always a treat

We met some lovely gummy bears
In huge gummy town
They eat lots of sweet pears
That are found all around
